In an interview, Hirendra Nath Jha, CEO & MD, Excellent Skill & Aptitude Institute of Learning Pvt Ltd (eSAIL) shares the future plans of his company.
Ramanjit Kaur (RK): Could you please shed some light on the origin, growth and success of eSAIL Pvt. Ltd?
Hirendra Nath Jha (HNJ): With more than 20 years of experience in different leading IT and IT enabled educational companies; I came up with the idea of starting my own business. The Excellent Skill & Aptitude Institute of Learning Pvt. Ltd (eSAIL) is an IT company in the field of computer hardware (chip/component level), software training, technology resourcing, and knowledge consulting. We provide solutions through application of proven platforms and adaptation of emerging technologies. eSAIL, by virtue of its cost-convenient, job-oriented, quality-controlled education, and training has risen to greater heights and acclamations.
RK: What is the USP of eSAIL Pvt. Ltd? How it is different from other players in the sector?
HNJ: We believe in sharing our gains with our franchisees and employees. We strictly adhere to the principle of transparency in all our dealings to ensure the governance is in safe hands to offer optimum returns to our employees and franchisees.
RK: What practices and initiatives have you introduced eSAIL Pvt. Ltd?
HNJ: The company stands on the pillar of young, dynamic, enthusiastic team, grown with a dossier of software, hardware/ network engineers, functional experts, and management professionals with a backdrop of premier education and rich experience. Besides technology adoption and functionality absorption, the third element for our holistic solution is the input of our creative team, dedicated for corporate brand enhancing and positioning.
RK: What are the eligibility criteria for selecting the franchisees of your company?
HNJ: Young Entrepreneur having investment capacity of Rs eight-15 lakh and space 1000-1500 sq. ft owned/rented in main strategic location. The prospective franchisee should have patience to understand and execute the quality of education to the students.
RK: How many franchised centres do you presently have? What are your future target locations to expand?
HNJ: Presently we are 17 running franchised centres. Our aim is to expand on pan-India basis.
RK: What kind of training and support does a franchisee get after partnering with your company?
HNJ: We provide our franchisees with the following support and training:
• Advertisement and marketing
• Technical support and assistance
• Faculty and marketing personnel
• Latest courses
• Course materials
• Placement cell
• Periodical training to all staff members
RK: Any advice for the young entrepreneurs?
HNJ: Times are changing, the needs of industries are also changing, ultramodern skill sets will be required and for this the best and the most well trained mindsets would be in demand. Cost-effective and value-added services will become the routine of the day. People would be expecting more and more for what they bring to the table. Staying competitive is the key to sustainability. And one must follow his thought to reach the destination.
RK: What are the future plans of the company in terms of expansion through franchising?
HNJ: We have plans to have pan-India expansion in the near future, and the expansion will be through the franchise route. Our projected target for the year 2010-2011 is to open a minimum 50 franchised centre across the country. Moreover, we will continue our excellence in providing such versatile and resourceful professionals who are qualified enough for their chosen professions and vocations within an educational environment that fosters innovation, business acumen, and enthusiasm to grow with their organisation.
