Indian Franchise Association was founded at New Delhi, as a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by Mr Gaurav Marya, Chairman-Indian Franchise Association to share information, knowledge and experiences, set standards and promote best practices in franchising. Colonel (Retd) Upendra Sachdev as the Executive Director, Indian Franchise Association strives to meet the vision and maintain their ethos of caution, advice, research and evolve amongst the franchise fraternity.
Franchising in India as of now represents a dynamic small business sector contributing some 9% of the national GDP with a potential of better and broader contribution. It comprises enterprising entrepreneurs as franchisors and franchisees employing Indians. We are here to motivate franchisors/franchisees towards peak performance in the franchising business. The association would be facilitators for franchisors/franchisees in doing business, act as arbitrators where required, provide knowledge resource and give a platform for networking.
