Claridges ‘Dhaba’ to be franchised

Claridges Hotels and Resorts, a New Delhi-based chain of restaurants, is mulling over franchising for expansion of its popular in-house Indian restaurant, Dhaba. The company is also planning to establish Dhaba as a standalone restaurant.
The company is targeting cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi to start with, followed by overseas expansion. It also plans to extend the brand to other Claridges properties and add another outlet of Dhaba at its Surajkund property in Delhi by July this year. Presently, the brand is contributing around 15 per cent to the total F&B revenue of the chain.
