Subway to open 45 new outlets in India

Subway, an America based sandwich franchise is considering opening 45 new outlets across India through the franchise route by 2011-12. The company would be investing Rs 40 crore for this expansion. It is also plans to take its unit count to 530 by 2015.

The company is targeting the metro cities including other cities like Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad to launch the new outlets. The expansion process will be aided by the recent appointment of Delhi-based McCann Erickson India, as brand’s new agency of record.
